Custom made ammo box for Rap4 Gen4

I've been working on this for a little while but it finally in functional form. I have a few cosmetic things left but you'll get the idea.

The box by itself, It clips in exactly as a mag would.

Mocked up final assembly.

Here is a short video of the box firing.
This was doomed from the word go. I got to my buddy's and realized I was out of air. He had some CO2 left so I gave it a shot and got about 150 rounds out of it, just enough for the video. It couldn't have been more than 50 degrees out either. Then add the old paint that started to break. The velocity was low and right at the end you can hear the tank run empty. Given the circumstances it went ok, a few barrel breaks is easy to clean. I'll make another video when I get some air and fresh paint but the box keeps up just fine.

Thank you. This is the only forum where people have recognized the name. I'm not sure what to make of that, if anything.

I will be installing eyes and then I'm on to my c-mag mod. It might take a while though.

It means I've been watching South Park since the very beginning.

If you don't market 'em you need to put up a how to. What's the point of buying a rap 4 and then using a hopper on it?

Well, I wouldn't recommend using this style box if modding is new for people. It is small and the fit is TIGHT. It required a fair amount of test fitting and removing material. The hardest part was reattaching the feed neck to work vertically in the space that I had. It is a completely custom fab of the feed neck to fit in here. This wouldn't be nearly as tough in a slightly larger box.

I can do a write up but it may not translate the exact same way for the next person.

Couple questions....

Is this .68 cal or the .4 cal paint (by the diameter of the feed it looks like .68)

What are you using to move paint upwards? Warp feed?

The rest of the large box is holding paint.. correct?

Can't watch the vid from here and was just wondering.

Yes, its .68cal. .43 is not allowed at enough fields to justify one.
It's a reloader b with a modified feedneck.
About 2/3 of the box is holding paint(roughly 150 rounds)

I'll get some pics of the internals up this weekend. They are a little ugly still.
Nice to see ya packrat.

Thanks to both of you

Now a thought on reloading for you Throw a fakey M-203 launcher under the forearm that is filled with paint. Connect it (ala AT forearm/mag loader) with a short length of hose (or just but the 203 directly up to the mag). When you need a reload, tilt gun back, open a gate to fill the box-mag, close gate and go. Have a standard flip cap on the muzzle end of the 203 and load paint there. (Think similar to a Q loader, but without the spring as you are already "force" feeding in the box mag)

Just and idea.. no need to even seriously consider.
