Stripping a pgp...

Is there a chemical way to strip the black off a pgp to get to all that beautiful brass?

I've found that leaving the body in a bath of brake fluid for a couple days will do the trick. Make sure it's the nice corrosive DOT-3 brake fluid, not the "safe" DOT-5 stuff.

Thanks, I knew you could remove stuck cleaning rods and patches from a rifle bore with that, never thought of it for this. Off to the shop I go.....
