Ideas for bodies drilled for eyes.

I HATE the look of bodies drilled for eyes - but they are so cheap there has to be a cool way to dress them up.

What do you all think - let's brainstorm on cool ways to dress up bodies that have been drilled for eyes.

I was thinking that a cool silver coin (maybe a dime) that had been drilled and counter sunk with a stainless caphead to affix it may look cool.

Any other ideas?

As I don't/haven't had a drilled body would it be possible to simply redrill the eye side for a second detent?

The way i set up my mags when I dont need the gas thru is to make up a skull plug from a plastic bead

eye covers work alright..
I wish people would stop drilling them... do people really own that many eblades/race frames?

I just lucked out, and got two prostock bodies, a 2k and a 2k4 for 50 bucks.. neither of which are drilled.. but I think they may be some of the few left out there..

Why cant you drill them out to say .156" and then press in a .1565 turn pin and reanno them.

I know for a fact you can do it. I just dont know about the reanno part.

well yeah you could.. but it'd still be a body with a hole in it.. but it'd be a plugged hole..

if you are going to drill a larger hole in the body, you mine as well do something clever.. like a second detent, or a spike, or something else for kicks..

Everything but a detent is going to look like something you did to cover something up. Go with a detent.
