Piranha 1/2 blocking

My poor Piranha. I've decided it's time to be chopped up even more, this time for an expermental weight reduction. Poor thing is longest running marker for me, and been part of more than one project. Feedneck is JB welded on, been stockclassed, springfeed and now attacked again for half blocking.

Picked up another Piranha GTI with an eframe that I'm going to make a project, my main electro...

I did this a few nights ago, it looks horriable.

So today I attacked it again with more filing and hacksawing and a bit of drilling.

Looks a lot better I think, not perfect or pretty, but it's still just a "prototype" for another marker. Most important part is it still works fine, marker feels lighter (not that it ever was heavy) and looking more like my goal, making a Ego looking blowback thingy. Needs some more filing on the back end on the velocity adjuster as it's the big lump there, not the aluminum.

The main project will be a lot more work:

- Chop up the body, with some smoother lines
- Add a pressure guage on the valve
- Expand valve air space
- Make it LP operation (respring)
- Cocker or Angel detents
- Derlin Bolt maybe
- Custom bolt pull pin
- Polish hammer
- Ego or Spyder style clamping feedneck
- Anno

Looking for all Canadians on MCB, building a list by province. PM me to be added to the list.

+ 1 point for having soooo many markers that sawing one up on a whim is not only do-able, but has little or no impact on your actual stable of markers.....

Looks like you made that front cut a little too far forward. Get a fine round file and chamfer the edge of that tube so you don't cut up your O-ring.

Also, get a lathe or something at the bolt and trim some weight off. Every little bit helps, aye?

Yeah, I made the crosscut a little too far... I'll just have to file it down a little more I guess. And yeah, I need a lathe to remove some material from the bolt.

Just did some testing; I need a new trigger frame for this beast. Trigger and sear are pretty worn out. The marker cycles fine, but the trigger isn't always hitting the sear. Very common wear issue with the PMI semi's IIRC, most of the workings are plastic.

You should find a way to mate that 007 frame to the Piranha...run some macro from there to the valve and make it a pistol!

Add more jb to the feedneck so you can blend it in.
