| Gun stand complete! Well I posted this on a local forum and didn't really get much response, not quite their thing, but I figured MCBers would appreciate some woodwork. This is made of white pine and is therefore very soft. This was more the tester. Something in a hard woods with stain and varnish is coming in a week or two. That will be the stay at home one, this will be the bring to the field, beater one, but I am proud of it anyway :P. Edit: More pictures on page 2! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The next one will have a slightly taller neck on the front. All comments and ideas are welcome so long as it stays PG

| That looks good! Great idea. What tools did you use? You might want to Plasti-dip the places where it touches the gun/tank. |

Band saw (8foot give or take, massive) Chop saw Spindel sander Drill Hand sanding edit: Jointer Thickness planer Thickness sander Finished that one in about 2 and a half hours. Not great, but not bad for my first try at a stand Where would I get plasti-dip? Is it available at hardware stores or similar? Or does it have to be done like plating?

| Yeah it's available at hardware stores. They have spray and dip versions. I've never seen an 8 foot band saw.. That's giant. Must be for furniture and stuff. |

| Oooh.. Or you could rivet in leather and padding in a nice classic finish. |

| Satinist, So Soft! | I would go with the felt or padding as well. Or Leather Padding with a felt pad on top. At Hobby Lobby or Michel's or any other craft store you can pick up a brown bottle of "Tacky Glue" and Felt. Either route (Leather or Felt) would look stunning on that.
