Best method for mounting standard ASA on Spyder frame

Well, I've got my very first paint marker sitting infront of me, a Spyder Victor with an Eframe. I want to trick this thing out a little to make it useable once more so I was wondering what would be the best method of getting an ASA on there. I HATE dropforwards so that is no an option. A rail is fine but forward is bad in my books. I was thinking just tap it for standard bottomline mount holes but I'm not sure if it is completely possible. Any input?

You can buy a spyder style ASA.

I know I can, I want it to be a little more universal. I'm looking to use a RAPS on/off anyway. Or a CP on/off, and iirc neither of these can be had for spyders

You guys aren't very creative :P. JP

I might do that, but IMO it looks kinda tacky. I'd rather modify the frame in some way to make it like a standard frame.

not really. doing it yourself is cool. since no one will see it, since the ASA is covering it, it won't get noticed. there should be plenty of meat there to drill and tap. if you can find heli-coils in that size, go for them. they would be cheaper that getting a tap and die set, as well as having more strength since the insert is steel going into aluminium.

you could cut the bottom of the frame to a dovetail, which would get high water marks for being cool and different, but after that, there is not much to do.
