UMS Targetmaster : Q'loader SSI

I wanted to make something special for a friend of mine in the pb industry, Steve from Q'loader.
They produced a nice pb gun based mostly on a Tippmann A-5, the Q'loader SSI.

The SSI uses a Tippy 98 rear bolt, all other internals are A-5 related along with the grip frame. They take A-5 barrels as well as stocks or rva's etc.
The frame is also very well built from solid aluminum which lends itself to anno unlike the factory Tippmanns, and direct feeds the Q'loader system from the bottom breach area wich is extremly effective for folks wanting to use optics or for LEFT handed players.
Check out the SSI here: www.qloader.com

These pics are prior to Lapco ariving at Dday. I "pulled some strings" and called in a marker or two and had the great folks at Lapco make a one off custom 18" BigShot for the project. I'll get additional pics up soon (minus the big ugly guy lol) that display this great barrel as well. I'd like to take a quick second to express my appreciation to the folks at Lapco for helping bring this project together.

Here's the modded version: The UMS Targetmaster (minus the butstock) that took approx 55 hrs so far in stock work. Still to be done is the fully adjustable target style butt for the stock (cant, heigth, length). The stock is a blank from riflestocks.com (only a 10 week wait, whee...) and started life as one of thier thumbhole blanks that is "finished" and "ready" for inletting (finished like a rough shipping pallet surface)and is semi finished by me to 320 grit (end up w/6-800 grit) and has a light coating of boiled linseed oil for now. It sports a Leapers red/green big damn target scope that will most likely come off if Steve ever takes it out on the field to get shot at (he's a paint magnet like me lol). I pinned a modified trigger set from an A-5 in the SSI and made the linkage to bring the hand made blued steel trigger back to the correct length of pull for a rifle stock insted of a pistol grip. It also features a simple trigger guard and has the Q'loader socket/pod assembly inletted into the bottom of the stock approx 25% or so for a more finished "like it belongs there" look.

Hope you folks like it:

Definetly looks like it belongs there! Very pretty.

Q-Loaders sometimes look out of place with the way that some owners hook them up. But that looks very nice. One of the nicest conversions I've seen.

I must say, it's so refreshing to know that pb custom work isn't dead, and amazing new stuff like this is being made.

I held this a few times at Dday. What a beast. Feels like you could slay an elephant with it.

Acually everything I seen from UMS was awsome.

Looking for all Canadians on MCB, building a list by province. PM me to be added to the list.

Some additional pics.
Please keep in mind that the entire gun now needs "touch up" on the finish and I need to re-blue some of the parts due to the weather/rust etc, but these will give you a better feel for the gun overall.
