| Thanks fellas,... The Pulse valves are nice, but they do have limitations, 500 cycles per minute is one of them, (Apprx. 8 BPS.) Another is the 150 PSI max operating pressure, i was able to get it up to about 200PSI reliably with a few modifications though, and the entire marker only runs at 200PSI so it wasn't much of a problem anyway. Heres a quick vid of the pulse timer in action on the tube... PV test 200PSI |

| Pff, who cares about BPS. It looks like a very elegant solution to searless pneumatic trigger systems. I need to track some headphones down so I can hear the video at work. [edit] - got some questions! How was efficiency? Could you control the dwell time enough to minimize post-shot loss? Last edited by russc; 06-25-2008 at 05:59 PM. |

Do you have any sources for how you got the dwell down from the original value? Any chance one of these fits in a 2k2 Intimidator frame? Looks a little large. | |

| http://haveblue.org/tech/patents/US006343599.pdf That's a patent for a pulse valve issued quite a while ago, it states that it is a Clippard PV-1 with alterations made to the restricted orifice to reduce the pulse length, but ~8ms is claimed in the patent. I've got another method for a mechanical valve that I'll put in another thread. |
