Tapping an asa hole on a DW asa

Could it be possible to tap a side hole for an air line in this:
Pro On/Off ASA

and could it have the macroline front replaced by a hardline fitting? If so that would make my current project excellent.

Thanks

They installed the macro fitting, so it can be removed somehow! Likely will mean disassembly of the unit.

Looks like that wall thickness would be to thin for tapping it with 1/8" NPT threads, so you're SOL there.

If I had it in my hand, I would have a better idea. From the look so of it though, I agree with Tesko on the walls being to thin. Not enough room for a hole either just looking at it.

OOO I actually know an answer to this question!

The macroline can be removed if you stick an allen wrench in there, take a look straight down, there's a hex fit hole inside the fitting.

As for tapping the little bugger, I wouldn't know. But I LOVE how that ASA looks.

Yea those were my first inclinations as well. It being too thin to tap. But they are really a cool design

I have a buddy who has one and he had to replace the fitting and yes it is removable and is a standard threading for a macro fitting.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, I do not think there is enough space between the area for the tank o-ring and the knob to allow it to be drilled and tapped to an 1/8th ip thread and allow the on off to work.
