Well I combined a few ideas here and it finally works...

Angled the sear, sort of worked, enough to realize it was fixable with a very good timing.
I also cut down a stock spyder valve spring to roughly 1/3 of what it started as. I also removed the 12 gram puncture pin, though maybe it obstructed flow. That did not change anything.

It runs, not bad either but my biggest problem is velocity. Keep in kind this happened by just changing from my 4 oz to a 20 oz. Nothing else was changed and both were room temp (as was the marker during testing).

The 4 oz would shoot 220... very poorly. +-up to 50. This was unacceptable to say the least...

the 20 oz I used had a smart valve w/ on/off. Would shoot mid 270's solidly ( +-10.

Both times using the same bag of paint, Origin Signature series. Brand new batch, arrived last week. Great shape, great consistancy, so I do not belive it was the paint. Not sure what could cause that... perhaps the room in the 20 ox that does not have liquid acts as a "dump" chamber if you will and allows the CO2 to expand nicely?

I'm stumped, but I really wanted to use the 4 oz, perhaps I'm stuck with remote or using a dropforward...

your smart valve may be opening further than the pin, and giving more CO2 to the gun. Also the pin depressing it might be the cause.. not enough or too much.

Hmm, perhaps that is the problem, I hadn't thought of that. I shall have to experiment.... Thanks Azzy

Took a new sear and reshaped it to assist a semi conversion in recocking, it worked very well.

I wound up taking off 3/32 off the face of the sear and reshaping the nose part that rides against the trigger slide. I have the semi recocking consistantly and the velocity seems good, as soon as I get my chrono in I can make sure its good.

So anyone else that is having trouble, this might be your answer. Post your results here so we can keep track of this. It seems to be the biggest snafu in making a semi PGP.

I had to angle it cleanly, no rounding off. It had to be a straight shot to the rear of the sear. Then a nice polish job made it a bit nicer.

Still havent tried experiments with smart valve...
