| Active Member Join Date: Apr 2006 | Palmer's Fatty reg question I am pondering a project. I want a very short Reg to sort out Co2 before a Mag reg. I am trying for a very compact AutoMag and I want to run a Reg in the vertical ASA adapter but am short of vertical space. Would it be ok to run a Palmers Fatty straight from a Co2 tank (either 7 or 9 oz)? Would the output then be enough to power a Mag reg? I have had good luck with Co2 and either a Palmers’ stabilizer or Cocker reg, but will the Fatty be ok? I see it labeled as a “low pressure” reg. could it be converted to high pressure? Are there any other Co2 compatible short regs that might work? Any help would be appreciated. |

| A god in my own mind | doubt the fatty will work. there max output is 450psi. yeh you can run co2 straight to them.

| Ultimate Battle Monkey Z | Nope, I don't. However I've seen it on one or two mags in the field. Seems to be nice and compact. I would suspect that it would give you optimal CO2 performance provided the weather was warm enough.

I read a lot of reviews and it seems they run good on Co2 but if the pressure is turned down they have a slow recharge rate. They either run good on a lot of oil or too much oil makes them slow. I guess I will have to expirement with that one. |

| Ultimate Battle Monkey Z | Good luck. I've had wildly inconsistent luck with the r-2000's. Another thing you might look into is the Custom Products regs. They have a small version that was really well regarded when it came out. It's a sort of performance comprimise between the Stabe and the R-2000. http://store.customproducts.us/index...2&categoryID=4 http://cgi.ebay.com/CP-Custom-Produc...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Like-New-CP-Regu...QQcmdZViewItem
