| Active Member Join Date: Apr 2006 | Want to build a convertible Half Block Sniper Well, Tis the season of no playing for me (at least not much) So, I want to Build a Convertible (stock class feed and vertical feed) Half Block Sniper. Looking to make it a nice and smooth one. Wonder what parts I'm going to need other than a body and CCM Pump Kit. The body is up in the air right now but I THINK I need a Cocker body with Angel threads in the feed neck to make this work? I know a standard pressed in feed neck won't work. What kind of valve should I be looking to use for high efficiency at around 600-800 psi? I would like to run either 12 grams or a 13 CI bottle. I'm probably throwing PPS brass on there if I get the chance. . . or a St!ff! Kit. I also hear a Mini cocker makes the marker that much shorter, how does it do this and does CCI make a pump kit for Mini's? I know I can get the Bolt and Sled off WWA, or make my own. In actuality I would rather make my own. . . The trigger frame, I would like this to be something like the 1.5 triggers on the Dye Carter Pumps, something about them is nice. Auto trigger would also be a plus! Anodizing will be custom and probably done by Rainman. anyways, some tips and places to get some parts would be great!

You can try to find, or make an angel threaded feed block(medic is doing a run of these last I heard), or tap a hole in front of the feed port for a phantom breech. Stock older valve is best for higher pressures generally. As far as mini'ing, you mean CCM i'm guessing. They did at one point but they're no longer on the website. I know a WWA kit is what I see on most current mini'd snipers If you're really interested in auto trigger, it wouldn't hurt to check out CCM's grip frame as it can come with auto trigger stock. I've heard they also sell the CAM, linkage arm, and pump arm separately, but modification to the trigger plate is needed for most trigger frames from what I understand. Good luck, SC cockers are fun to play around with, lots of options. |
