suomi ?s

ive always bben a fan of the suomi kp31 and the parts kits are really cheap but with all the laws reguarding what u can and cant do with them are verry stict so i thought that i might use a parts kit to construct a milslim and use like an automag for the base. i want a magazine on it and i want to make it look as close to the real thing as possible any suggetions?

Sounds like a fun project. I think an Automag would be perfect for a Suomi conversion since its valve sticks out the back and mirrors the profile of a Suomi receiver. You would just have to shoehorn the mag's rail into the stock and figure out how to rig the trigger. It would be best if you could modify the Suomi's trigger guard to work with the Automag's trigger so you would be able to attach magazines (they attach to the front of the trigger group). Basically all you'd need from the kit would be the stock, trigger group, magazine, and barrel shroud. Suomi kits are still cheap, but the magazines have been going up in price now that there are adapters to use them in other guns.

I know what to do with those parts kits, it requires an AK47, and adapter, a welder and a buttload of 9mm ammo

Yeah, Azzy and I were just going off on a tangent, this is the gun he's talking about (not mine), you can see how it would be adaptable to an Automag:

I'd love to see a Bren. You'd think the mag would make things easy...
