First off, full credit goes to y0da900 for coming up with the idea. I made a few changes, but he gets full credit for coming up with the idea. These are rough, unfinished prototypes. The final products will look much better. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm still a long way off from large scale manufacturing and selling them. I thought I'd just through this out there to see if anyone was at all interested. I'll keep this updated as I do more tests.

It's used in place of a solenoid/board. It creates a pulse of air that could be used for almost any kind of firing system. It's pretty open ended when it comes to how it could be used. Electro-mech conversions, pneumatic sear trippers, or basically whatever you can think of.

It would be cool to hook it to a timer of some sort to release CO2 into an aquarium at regular intervals.

Man that's small. This will make pneuFASORs much more walkable. Is it complete? It looks like it is, but if it has yet to be tested I'd like to know when it is. I'd love to be able to pick one of these up if you made a few.

It's complete, but I need to get some air to test it out. By unfinished I meant it's raw aluminium. Once I have a good idea of how well it functions and that it can work with high pressure, I'll do a decent sized run of them.

I'd like to ask how this product is different than a cocker 3-way. I kinda get it, but i'm not all that sure how it works. (i can't quite see how it just provides the pulse of air and not a cosntant flow )I know i'm missing something so... yeah... stupid question.

Air gets split to both ends of the valve. One end is a large face diameter with some dead volume, the other is just a small face. Air hits the small face, and since it takes less time to fully pressurize the smaller volume, the piston actuates and opens the airway. As the volume near the large face of the piston begins to fully pressurize, the piston moves and the valve is forced shut. The length of time it takes for this to happen can be controlled with a flow restrictor/needle valve, like the one I have in one of the pictures. Not really a stupid question, it's more like stupid me for not actually explaining how the thing works.

Have you tried it yet? Does it perform as planned? Very Cool! Just in case you didn't know: If you get really wierd results, flow controls only work in one direction. Normally they are meter out, in other words they will only control flow from the threaded end to the push connect end. In the other direction they bypass the flow control. |

A decent pulse valve. Hmm. Very Very interesting. You think a reciprocating pulsed valve could be made from that? I.E. Air In > Pulsed air out > Valve Closes > Pulsed air depressurizes > Valve Opens > Repeat. Say you were building a air foreward spring return pneumatic sear tripper. So you add this valve on there, with a switched 2 way valve. 2way Valve closed: Semi automatic. 2way open: automatic cycling. See where I'm going here?
