If input pressure was below 400psi, maybe a heavier hammer might have done the trick.
It's also possible that since the exhaust port sits directly under the barrel, rather than emptying into the bolt, might have also caused lower velocities as well.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.

For the PGP did you just drill and tap into the CO2 chamber? or did you drill and solder?

and also, major props for making it , i'm trying to at the moment but trying to find a cleaner way if possible (more tidy)

thanks, Dom

Thanks for the props.
It was fun to build. I do miss her.
Let me see what I remember. Its been a while.

This was a converstion from the older PGP1 (pre 2K) so the valve assembly in the older Sheridans is in multiple pieces (i.e. non cartridge).

Short answer: Drill and tap.

Long answer:
The sequence of Lower tube internals is as follows: Rhino LPR –Tee – pipe – (CP)valve

First I ground down the face of the Steel "Chamber plug" (CP) on the valve. The PGP diagrams gives it this name. It’s a shiny piece of steel that retains the 12gm seal for the Co2. Remove the seal and then grind it down to about the shoulder.

Chucked it into a bench vice and drilled/tapped it for 1/8 NPT. A short 1/8" NPT pipe is threaded into this piece and sealed with JB weld. On the rear of Chamber plug I ground a slot so that a Slotted screwdriver can be used to turn/tighten it to the joining Tee assembly (from behind the body).

The Rhino LPR is threaded directly into the Tee with more JB weld. Hence there is only 1 tie-in section using Teflon tape i.e. the LPR/Tee To the chamber plug assembly. This reduces a point of potential leakage.

Have fun.
LOve to see your project.
