Rev-i a 4 letter word?

I'm looking to pick up a new marker in the next month and was looking for something in the $900 range (Geos, Rev-i, etc) but I cant seem to find much info about the Rev-i. Is it something I should stay away from? Seems to have a lot of nice features for the price.

revi's are one of the unsung low price high ends. They come stock with a nice barrel kit, oled board and on/off, and the reversible trigger is just too cool. They are essentially a g3 with much better parts on it, and comes with a bunch more. What I dont like about them is they get about average efficiancy, and can be a pain to take apart (dont loose the t-handled allens)

I have one that I absolutely love!! The only other spool I've owned that I liked more was my Luxe. The board on it is quite nice, shoots smooth, efficiency isn't the best but not bad enough to bother me.

Super nice markers, IMO. They feel to me a good bit different than their G3; exactly like a Threshold, if you've shot one of those. The full body gets a bit more efficiency than the G3; something in the neighborhood of 1400-1500 shots from a 68/4500.

Only thing i'd do with it is swap the fancy gauge back cap for a standard gauge-less variety... those gauge caps have a tendency to crack and leak, and as mentioned, require a special tool for disassembly.

Can the back cap be switched with something that is tooless to remove?

Not quite tooless. Uses an allen wrench in the back.

That is the biggest thing holding me back right now. I broke a ball on the Mini last weekend and wasnt able to clean it good enough on the field. A design the like Geo is nice an easy to clean but I really like the features of the Rev-i.

The Revi is a great shooting little gun, the OLED board is great, APE really outdid themselves on that one. It does have a little bit of a learning curve to it, but once you get the hang of it, it has absolutely everything that you could want (minus a sexy voice). They do need specific tools, but they are not hard to tear down by any means. That, and they will shoot even when water is pouring out of the barrel (we got some nasty monsoon like rains, water was all inside the marker and it was still shooting well). Really is an under acknowledged gun.

Like others, I am going to say the Rev-I is great..

You can probably find a used one around the 500 dollar range.

Solid gun, uses the G3 parts but has so much more included.
