G3 on/off button

Should it be pretty hard to push the on/off button on a G3. I just got one and my fingers can't seem to push the button to get it to turn on or off or toggle the eyes. I have to push the button with something, an allen wrench, back of a pen. I can occasionally get it with my finger but not usually.

had the same problem when I briefly owned my G3. From what I've read, it eventually gets easier. I assume that the rubber button softens after a while.

there is a rumor'd "mod" for this. I would hardly call it a mod though. pull off the rubber membrane pad, and in the little hole on the backside, put a very small piece of soft foam from your padded case or whatever else you have. it supposedly makes it a little easier to push. I havent tried it, but from the concept, it cant hurt anything. I dont have much problem with it personally, but I am going to be experimenting with inserting small thing circular pieces of plastic instead of foam, so that the button engages earlier.
