I'm shocked that you all haven't posted up a million times about this gun yet.
I got one in today and all I can say is OMG OMG OMG, this has to be one of the largest improvements in the G series in a long long time.....who wants pics lol

Looks... um.. pretty similar. Some changes to the bolt, redesigned reg?, and most importantly minor cosmetic changes.

other than the noid i don't think there is anything else the same as the g4 line. Air thru, new reg, new frame, new board, new bolt, new body, new eyes, new feed neck, new raps, new grips....im sure there are other components as well. this thing feels really comfy in the hands....a great direction for the G series....

Is that dp 40 on the bolt or is the light reflecting off it making it look worn ?

It is lube but not dp40, its dp40Plus......Still waiting on confirmation as to what exactly the "plus" adds to it.....

are more differences than just some holes in the back of the bolt. The g5 transition is more of a 90* than a chamfer also the transition is closer to the rear of the bolt on the g5 than the g4. Here are some pics of what im talking about.
