Fusion FX chopping

So about a year ago I got an fx and it has been nothing but a headache. I can't get through a hopper without chopping. I thought it was the bolt so I got a hush bolt but the same problem. So I sent it to DP, they told me it was working fine... Awesome... Got out to play and boom... Spend all day clearing chops. I reset all the settings and tried in the backyard.... Obviously same issue. I've changed the detents twice already, changed batteries, relubed the ram. Help a brother out. This gun has less than a case through it and I'm tired of looking at $500 paper weight.

To be fair it shoot fine on semi if I shoot it like tippman but once I get going its a garunteed chop.

Used a Z2 and a Halo B
Used both the stock barrel and my carbon fiber barrel
Chrono'd at 260

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

Try a different loader.

The empire Halo / Prophecy series seems to cause this problem due to pressure on the ball stack. The on deck ball gets smacked by the bolt, cracking the shell, and breaking when fired.

A loader that puts less force on the ballstack, like a VLocity on a zero-force setting, allows the ondeck ball to bounce up a little rather than cracking.

I had the same issue with a Halo. Switched to a Dye Rotor, haven't chopped yet, even uncapped at full auto with Walmart paint.

Wal-Mart paint isn't known for chopping and breaking, tournament paint is.

Put a pod of GI 5 star from World Cup through that's been chilled to 42 degrees through

I have a Halo (B?) and a Prophecy. No issues with chopping on an FX.
