| New DP Gun: G3 (Official Pics) New Pics from Huntington Beach NPPL: Quote:
there are some pics of it floating around the internet. Differences vs. the iQ are new RAPS, new clamping feedneck, new grips, and different milling. The gun is a Threshold-based design with a much shorter bolt. Official pricing and release date has not yet been released. But this should be a "mid- end" gun with DP's "high end" also being released sometime soon. With stock barrel, asa, feedneck, battery, etc... The gun weighs just 1.86lbs ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: operational animation ![]() Last edited by xluben; 03-30-2008 at 08:18 PM. | |

| Village Idiot | It looks good, a lot cleaner than the Threshold I like that at least in these pictures the triggar guard doesn't seem to be as close to the reg.

| Looks like its going to be too small for me, I like more meat. Cool looking though. What's up with the cage in the back? Is that so the bolt doesn't fly out and hit you in the face?

| Village Idiot | Thats actually one of the only things I didn't like about my Fusion, the bottom of my hand kind of hangs off the bottom of the grip. That and the huge trigger guard.

the "cage" is merely for holding onto or looks. it is removable. the bolt is fully enclosed. Quote:

| Village Idiot | Yes I don't like the huge guard. I don't like the way it looks or feels. A smaller one would discurage extra travel of your fingers when walking the trigger, and alow for a more comfortable grip on the reg when holding the gun. This of course is 100% my opinion and not backed by anything at all.

| yeah, i think they did a pretty good job with this trigger gaurd. in the past theirs have been even bigger and NO space between the reg and gaurd. basically, either way people are going to complain, too big or too small someone is bound to not like it. |

| Village Idiot | This one I think is more of a happy medium I was refering to the guard on my Fusion being to big
