New F7. Low Velocity.

Hey all,

I just took my new F7 to the field yesterday and could not get any decent velocity from it unless the pressure is around 350psi and even at that it's only hitting mid 270fps to 280fps. At 250psi is was shooting between 220 and 250fps. I was using good paint and an Eclipse shaft barrel only slightly overbored.

What can I do to get the velocity up with proper operating pressures?

Thanks!

grease the ram with dow 33, to cut down on the friction, and you'll want to set the LPR wide open unless you have an aftermarket ram and a lightened return spring.

Are you the one that posted on PbNation?

My first thought was to back the LPR all the way out.

Pending you have tried that I would look into lubing the entire gun (ram/reg/solenoid).

hehe...yeah, that's me. I believe in beating the bushes thoroughly when I have a problem. As posted on PBN, it was drier than I thought all over so I greased it up good today and will see what happens next time out.

Thanks Murph and Xluben

I seem to remember people telling me fusions use the LPR for fps for some reason.

Nope.

Set the gun to 200 PSI, then open the lPR until you get a full firing cycle (Just after the valve opens.) Then adjust the man regulator until you get to your desired velocity.
