What a bunch of hogwash. I am sad to say that is one disgraceful article. And then at the end they try to put a disclaimer?

Quote:
*The author of this article does not condone stealing. The author is not encouraging the theft of any personal property and reminds readers that theft is a criminal offence. This article is simply stating unwritten rules from previous generations and the code of conduct does not exempt any person from criminal sanctions. Pod Thieving should be undertaken at your own risk.
The author does not condone stealing? The entire article is condoning stealing. Out of good form I can’t put what I actually feel about this article or anyone who condones it or does it.

You know... A common writing strategy is satire; where you highlight an issue by taking it to absurdity.

I don't think this is satire. I think that this is a theiving little bastard trying to wink at the public and tell them how good at it he is.

Who OK'd that article?

Anyone caught trying to steal my pods is getting a beatdown.

This is yet another thing that the young crowd will think is "cool" because some flippin' moron posted it on the internet.

This article does terrible things for paintball and just sets the sport back. Imagine yourself as a new potential player checking out paintball on the internet for information. You'll find cheating, wiping, and now how to steal paintball gear. That doesn't sound like a sport I'd like to associate myself with, how about you?

If it was satire it should have stated such in the "disclaimer".

That whole article was junk. So here's what will probably happen...

Some kid will try to take one of my pods.
I'll catch him and give him a black eye, then hold him down and write on his head with a sharpie "I'm a theif, watch your gear"
Then he'll cry and try to use the article to defend himself, and then I'll have to blacken his other eye for being stupid.

All that for something that he could have gotten just by saying "Hey ScrapIron, I'm short a pod, do you have any extras in your box?"
