Felt like Hurting Someone at the local field today

So I snuck up the one side and tagged one guy, shot at a second and ducked back into cover. The second guy sticks his gun around the corner and yells "Mercy" (aka surrender) and then, without giving me time to accept, blind fires a bunch of shots (I'm not sure how many). I was less than a foot away, I have between 5 and 8 welts (the paint was leaving welts all day so it is hard to tell which ones came from what) with 1 or 2 of the bleeding. Sooo Mad.

I would have tank stroked him. That is one of the huge reasons I am leaving the sport.

It is a little hard to tank stroke someone with a Micro-Phantom (pistol whip though).

I realized I was too mad about it to play safely so I sat out the next game (I've got enough martial arts training to ruin someone's week). I would have left then but I came out to have fun so I couldn't leave mad, it would just make me want to play less next time.

Now I see the appeal of Lasertag.

Happened to me last night. Got off work (at an indoor field), grabbed my gun and headed out to the field. I shoot one or two people and then I walk up on this kid and say "point-blank". Now I will admit I did not yell I just said it in a normal voice, but the kid looked at me, then shot me twice in the mask, once dead center of the chest and once in the index finger (which went numb for a good 10 min). I just kind of slinked away. I really wanted to shoot the kid, but luckily I got a rollout just before (.689 barrel, tiny paint).

Sunshaker, you shoulda had the 007. If you hit 'em with a couple pounds of steel then they will be the ones "hurting".

Days like that are frustrating, glad to see that you know yourself well enough to sit out the next game and cool off a bit.

Had it in my bag. Fiddled with it and chronoed it (and cleaned my Phantom, got a little ham-fisted and chopped one) while I sat out.

I love paintball, but these experiences usually make me take a week or two off. I wish I knew more people who hosted private games around here.

Chalk it up to sh*t happens. Some players just get caught in the heat of the moment and make a mistake. Take the hits, they'll heal. Come back next time and don't worry about it. We all have bad experiences at our respective fields now and then. Such is the game.

Sunshaker, in his defense, you did try to sneak up on them.
If it was blindfiring that's one thing, but it sounds like you were the one who got so close to them in the first place. If they had been trying to bunker you I would be more sympathetic.
