try cranking the velocity screw in a few turns and see if it shoots then. if it does then you can fill in part of your dump chamber. that will cause your gun to function at a higher pressure. also did it function when you bought it?

Well it shot about a mag and a half then the air leaked out a little bit and i thought that was what was supposed to happen. I thought i just needed to adjust my velocity down.

ya, try filling in part of your dump chamber(this will reduce the velocity) then crank the velocity up. then go to a cronograpgh and carefully addjust your velocity down.

I was able to unscrew the velocity screw enough to where it could not even shoot. Then screwing it in bit by bit, get it to barely shoot, and then up to regular shots (no chrono, dry firing).

Is this normal and will it allow me to get proper FPS.

Yes that's normal. DO NOT PLAY WITHOUT A CHRONO. Honestly you shouldn't even play with a SA-8.

I would never play without having any gun chrono'ed.

Edit: Just bought myself a chrono and will get a nice box of 12 grams for proper testing to ensure that the SA-8 will in no way go over 300 FPS before it hits the field. Hopefully I can get it done before the game at the end of the month.

yeah i used dorosports from amazon before for my cylcone, rt to cyclone adapter and x7 hopper....
so i just googled xradar chrono and it lead me to amazon for cheapest.. one guy has it for $69.99 but $10 shipping..

dorosports is $72.95 but free shipping right now with a code if you spend $49.99 or more... sooo.

i bought a 3 point stock .. for $11.25... the xradar chrono $72.50 and double trigger kit.... all for $92!!!!!

I'm interested and might be willing to pay the price you ask for the gun, as long as long as it works and it hasn't been turned into a light saber or anything. Not that I have anything against light sabers. I just feel that keeping it as is would make it more effective as a good thug deterent. I don't know if this helps, but if you can find a portable power supply and an industrial strength cutting laser, then then you might be well on your way to having a light saber. Anyway, which SA-8 is it, orange or blue?
