I was under the impression the 303 was something AGD did. Is it just FN branded or is it FN built? I just want to be clear.

AGD designed, FN produced.

Granted, the gun did nothing wrong. The fault was with the Boston PD, but its just easier to blame the gun.

Yeah, the bismuth is there to add mass. When it hits the target it deals a significant blow but since it's granulated, it won't penetrate.

The 303 is an oversized Automag Classic valve. It can't shoot under 300 FPS without new springs. You can also load paintballs in the drum magazine but you also have to replace the spring with one of lower force because the stock mag can crush the paint. I've heard that Tom Kaye used to play with a custom tuned 303 designed to shoot under 300 using paintballs.

Simon...um, dont know his last name, sorry, also has a 303 and he made some of his own rounds with a rapid prototyping machine. He copied the shape and sunk a ball bearing into the front. Said that they disintegrated when they hit a wall.

This part I find highly unlikely.

Can't remember if this video discusses what the rounds did on impact or not.

Yeah, that was the vid I guess. Can't watch it now. I might have misquoted it, but I'm not really sure what they were made of.

I wasn't calling you on it, more so making the statement that it is unlikely a ball bearing disentegrated from the platform.

I ordered on 14 Jan and it shipped 19 Jan. The package arrived 23 Jan blue anno serial 1180. I'll add pics here in a few. I've never held a Tib 8 before, they are quite a bit more substantial than I had envisioned. I need to get over to my buds house and run it over the chrono. We will test out the pepperballs too, I'll report back on how effective they are.

I've almost bought a 303 a couple of times..however they're at least $1K, extra drums are also expensive and hard to find, and technically they're LEO. While it's theoretically possible to get the velocity down to playable levels, it seems like a big risk on a $1k novelty gun that isn't really going to perform any better than a classic mag with a 20 round springfeed on it. Drum mags are cool and all..but unless you're using FS rounds they're not really worth the frontal area increase. There's a reason hoppers are streamlined. A T-4 is cheaper and has the option to use fins and balls simultaneously, along with being totally self-contained and no awkward drum to get shot in. So basically you've got a really expensive, limited paint mechanical marker with an awkward HPA tank installation that you might end up in jail for owning. Style points though!
