you will like it for the fact of 50% of that t8 you shot.... so makes it worth it...

For those that have theirs and a good knowledge of the Tiberius system; Is the regulator spring tension a likely culprit in the high starting velocities? If anyone has a T8 or T9 and a new SA-8, have you torn down both to compare the springs, and would a change in the SA-8 to a T8 reg spring say, bring it into the operating range of a T8?

The fine details seem to be picking at me on this and I don't have a Tiberius product to work through it, and a Zeus or a TPX won't answer these questions.
My goal is to elminate the hyper sensitivity to reg adjustments to make chronoing easier.
Thoughts?

I think a T8 reg spring would do it. I've only come to this conclusion from what I have read so no one quote me on it being true. Can anyone confirm this?

Seems that T8 springs are cheap enough.

I wonder if HurtCow's suggestion of de-volumizing would reduce velocity too.

Anybody tried their T8 back block on their SA-8 yet? It would be nice to have this upgrade path to get the safety of the pressure relief.

That would be cool, but locating back blocks with out guns bolted to them may be difficult. Tiberius doesn't have anything to do with servicing these guns so I doubt you would be able to purchase one from them.

I'm sure you could buy one, just claim that you cross threaded the relieve valve thingy and you messed up the back block and the screw and you lost all the parts when you threw the thing in frustration.

and naturally, buying replacement parts from any factory tends to be ridiculously expensive. So, lets say $100 shipped for a new backblock?

Three Questions:

Has anyone had luck getting the velocity down to 245-250ish?

What can be done about the stiffer trigger pull on these SA-8s?

Blue ones are a toss between PC and anno. Are all orange PC?

I compared my buddies SA-8 he got the other day to my T8. The SA-8 was noticeably heavier. As others have mentioned, the relief is non-adjustable, barrel is longer, spring is stiffer, and trigger pull is stiffer.
