Arrow Precision Sovereign III?

http://www.arrow-precision.com/Sovereign.html

Good? Bad? Ugly? Pricing? I have very little Sovereign knowledge, it's like a no block autococking pump of some sort? Maybe? seems similar to a blazer, parts location wise

Just looking for some general info. Google comes up with little, and I trust MCB more than I trust google hits

Basicaly works like your average cocker/blazer except for one difference. The ram is biult into the bolt. They are nice guns. Arrow precision is located in the UK and is the same company that produces the sterling. Quality is high...have you ever shot a sterling!?!

No, but I've wanted to... interesting concept, does it take standard cocker rams?

Always worried about finding spare parts :/

And I thought the new AP was american based

No AP has a few US distributors but thats it...you can aquire parts fairly easy here in the states.

It takes an integrated bolt/ram. Nothing cocker is interchangable.

If youve never shot a sterling you are missing out....you might consider tossing your phantom in the trash afterwards. By far the smoothest pump stroke ever.

I've been considering sterlings, but my palmerized mag comes first, then the blazer, then a new pump

I dunno, I think my SS-25 is comparable to my Sterling Possibly better, since I haven't found a return spring I quite like for the Sterling.

Theres some background info to get started on in there (a few of us still like the little beasties). The nice thing about the later sov3's is they can use spyder barrels, before that they had their own threads. The system has improved since the 1's. I haven't torn into a 3, (or to be honest really into either of my 1's, they work so I don't fix em) but at least some of the parts are pretty close to a cocker. might need to modify things a little. Pretty sure the cupseals used are the same as a Rat valve (in fact, i think it is pretty much a RAT valve IIRC. the LPR has traditionally been a weak spot, but the 3's improved it. to replace it requires retapping the front block to 1/8npt. the rambolt is the one properitary part that commoly can go bad getting a replacement for is soemwhat tricky.

I had one about 9 years ago, i have to say other than barrels being hard to find at the time it was a great gun, and wish i never sold it.

I'm using a Sovereign 1 as my main marker. Just put a q-loader on it
