What does Palmers do to PMI LBs to make them a Stroker?

I have a PMi LB that I like. I had a Carter Buzzard and sold it; to much money for a pump IMO ! I like the old LB and I was courious what type of custom work does Palmer's do to an LB to make the a Stroker ? (What is a Stroker.) In case you old salts can't tell I am new to the world of brass and I love it ! Please don't laugh to long before you humor me and try to inlighten me to my lack of knowledge....

Oh and I would like a different pump handle also; any suggestions on where to find them. The stock one is rather plain. I would post a pic but everytime I try to go to post Photo Bucket takes MCB's place on the screen.....lol I am not an astute IT guy ....lol ! Not that good at spelling either !

I a 50 year old Marine and Love Brass Pumps and I think I am in love with my LB shoots straight and I still need a widiget installed ........Dang though shipping and all is roughly $50.00 + but this is a necessry mod I think ? ? ? ? ?Does anyone have an altertative way to stop ball roll.....lol

A stroker is a pump gun converted to semi auto by PPS.

There are many things they can to a pump if you want to keep it that way. Valve work, smooth out the action, all the good stuff.

Thanks for that big heads-up.......I for sure do not want to go from pump to semi....lol I got the best semi ever built.....my Pro-Carb and I am always improving it with any monor up I can do to the beast Pro-Carb !

Back to the PMi LB...Palmer wants $89.00 for a tune up Long Beard just went through my LB and tweaked it. For a tune up do you know if Palmer installs a new valve they do state that they do trigger work in this $89.00 tune-up I would assume this would also mean all new seals, if I knew all they were going to do I may consider this but fr the time being it is working great. I have a Muzzel Brake, Trigger Shoe, RVA, Speed Demon Bolt, and I shot a 13/3000 HPa Air source. It ain't broke but the ball roll out is about to drive me up a wall ! I am in hopes of just waiting until I have a leak and then get the tune up and Widigets at the same time to make the shipping worth while. I would like a different front pump grip and I saw one on this site for PGPs that is $40.00 but not 5+ inches long like the one I have now it looks good and it is made of Derling and the guy is a big time pump man he is into KPs and lots of PGP stuff, he is from CA and I am in GA east Coast (Not many Pump Teams or players in GA )Palmer suggested Spiral the barrel...I am inclined to stear clear of this due to my wanting to keep the bapperl size as small as possible.
Your feedback is welcome and greatly appericiated !

What net surfer said. Tune it, hone it, etc.

But in the stroker conversion they weld the ram on the left side of the body, LPR in the lowertube and 4 way valve in the grip frame. They time it for you and what you get is an autococker, basically. but... it doesnt not need constant adjustment and has better reliability than one, in my experience. the timing rod is a set length, no fiddly set screws. Just set the bellcrank length and LPR and you're set.

Single wedgit to help with roll outs. Ball detent would be good for your right feed. Spiral venting to reduce noise and provide stability of ball flight according to Glenn. Auto trigger for fire power. 5 inch pump handle Pump, 5 Delrin [SHER043] - $40.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop!, Where Custom Still Means Something .

spiral venting will make the gun quieter, but I'm assuming its an expensive operation. (ive never had it done to an existing marker)

wedgits will definitely solve your rollout issue, they work great. ball detent is a must.

autotrigger... I personally would not even consider this, not for this marker. its something you'd get on a tourneyball pump gun.

and delrin pump handle, good investment. wont scratch up your nice brass, and it slides easier, and generally balances better.

To help with your roll out problem you could use some nail polish to make a detent.
Carefully build up a dot of nail polish just in front of where the ball will be once it would be fully chambered.
The great thing about this is that it can be removed with nail polish remover with no ill effects to the marker.
