Late-model Egos are actually quite notorious for being fragile.
I've seen several pictures of guns that had grip frames completely deform when someone went in for a dive. Eclipse is now spinning some kind of story about them being designed that way on purpose, to prevent the users hand from getting torn off or somesuch, but since they didn't claim these features until AFTER people's $1,200 guns started breaking I smell bull. I guess that's what happens when your customers expect you to shave another 2 ounces off the same gun year after year.

As for these guns, I have a few questions if you're listening Odjur.

1. What firing modes does the board have and are there any plans to implement PSP/NXL modes on upcoming guns?

2. Is it possible to install a different input regulator without hacksawing apart the body shells?

3. What sort of bottomline fitting does the gun have and is the black aluminum mounting block necessary for mounting any kind of bottomline?

...so any dare from pbn will get results?

The flames were more at the front of the marker, not alot of flames near the trigger frame. I guess if I am BBQing and drop the marker on the grill I will be ok lighting up my friends!

This is going to turn into a situation similar with the Rotor.

"No, the Rotor is the best, it can be lit on fire, and submerged in water and still work"

Because everyone plays in Atlantis Hell on the weekends.

1. semi is maxed at 22bps, 3-roundburst at 15 (Works like ramping/turbo if the trigger is pulled more then 4times a second) and full-auto is set at 15bps.
There will be an upgradeboard for those who need other firemodes

2. yes, all bottom-adjusted regulators will work without modification, if you want to use somethin like a CP-reg you need to dril a hole in the shell to acess the adjustmentsvrew

3. standard 2-hole configuration as on most guns. the "wedge" is to achieve a straight angle, without it the tank is slightly angled downwards

and as stated, the video is more of a joke then anything else

I'm not slamming the video test; however one needs to be careful as a seal can burst in the future with that type of heat exposure. Have fun! but alway's be careful!!!

Pft. I'm sure that it wouldn't fire if it was on the surface of the sun being bombarded with tachyons while tapping it's feedneck and rubbing it's ASA and listening to a Barbara Streisand album.

TEST THAT!

IMHO:

When the hell will a paintball gun be exposed to a condition even remotely like a real flame?
Never, or at least I dont think so, so why is this test even in the slightest bit valid.

^What constitutes a "real" flame?

It was actually on fire, btw. Just so that you know. I don't suspect any CG magic was going on.

Well whatever accelerant was used was on fire...seems the marker itself was not. Still a funny/cool test, even if it's not real-world practical!
