That's a worthless test. Any gun that does not have exposed soft tubing or a body made of thermoplastic would perform similarly.

This would be useful if i planed on playing on fire anytime soon LOL!

I feel tha ta2maki is right, the lack of any kind of soft low temperature weak spots were the reason that went so well. I am willing to bet an ego would do similar. The board might get messed up though, maybe with aluminum grips on the ego it would be a little more durable.

It's a similar test to the one Tom Kaye did years ago with the Automag, when he suspended a Miata from the grip frame. Kind of worthless, but it does point out that composite is pretty durable.

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Except that if you did the same thing with a gun these days, the cheap pot metal frame would rip like toilet paper...

The reason we did thid video is to prove exactly that, Composite platic is VERY durable.

But mostly it was because some guy over on PBN told us that "your gun sucks, it would break if you lit it on fire" so we did exactly that
the same guy also told us that it would break if you run it over with a car or throw it from a 2-story building, so we did those videos aswell.

That's gotta be the STUPIDEST test that I've ever seen.

You know that every NOOB that owns one of these is now going to tell you that it's the BEST gun to own because it'll be able to fire even after a NAPALM strike or an AVALANCHE, which as we ALL know happens with frightening frequency each and every weekend at paintball fields across the country and around the world.

There was concern that the carbon fiber frame was not as strong as the old metal frame. That demonstration(IIRC it wasn't a test, it was a demo piece at some venue) was done to show that it was, in fact, stronger.

A ha! A stupid test done for stupid people. That guy probably doesn't realize an Ego is more likely to take serious damage being run over or thrown out a building.
