Yeah, and I think it was a hell of a deal, too. :P

BTW, it's not like a think you threw the gun at a rock 500 times, I was just wondering how long it would last because it's so old.

When I went forward in time with my time machine, the only things still remaining after the fall of man were splatmasters, and thighmasters.

Coincidentally, I saw Sugarstump there with HIS time machine, and he was harvesting splatmasters.

The shell might, but those "8-shaped" clips that hold the body together rarely lasted the first year.

Same for the pierce seal, trigger spring, and safety. Those things seemed to vanish mysteriously. The barrel, and hammer link were also made from a soft plastic that scratched and worn itself quickly. Much worse with the rapide. The soft bolt linkage was common failure point.

But the bodies might last forever. Probobly fiberglass reinforced ABS plastics? I'm not sure if its the same stuff they made Stingrays from, but those shells were wicked hard.

Well in that case it's DEFINITELY bad! It's probably undergone some sick and twisted science experiment to determine if splatmasters would work as a plug to stop deep sea oil spills and still work with regular paint.

I got a new mainspring from the hardware store, just brought in the stock one and found one that was a little longer and stiffer and most importantly wasn't covered in rust.

I actually had to make an anti-kink tube out of a pen barrel to get it in place. :P

I used an old hard automag reg seat for a splatty pierce seal yesterday. Perfect fit at least. It has worked for two twelve grams so far.
