So I bought a Splatmaster over on the TechPB BST forum's the other day, and I was just wondering how long the average Splatmaster would last? Of course I'm going to play a couple games with it at my local field, but I don't want to use it too much because I'm afraid of it just stop working somehow because it's so old. So does anybody know how long the average Splatmaster should last? Would it be safe to play with it on a monthly basis? Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Haha, they may be plastic but it's not like they're disposable or anything dude. You should be fine playing with it regularly (if you can stand to) and should you ever run into any issues odds are we can help you here or, failing everything else, they are still rather common and cheap to replace. |

I bought one in 1988, in '04 it needed a new spring. I was using it today at a game. They are vastly under rated, they're actually a nice little stock class pistol.

Considering where you bought it, it might already have "expired" ![]() With proper care they should last longer than you.

Depends on condition and care. If you toss it under a truck or don't oil it for 15-20 years, maybe it will start to fall apart, but I'd you oil it every now and then it will be happy. One thing, you might need a new mainspring to get your velocity above 220.

Okay, cool. I didn't know a little plastic gun could last that long. Of course I'll oil every now and then, I love all my markers :P. Would anybody happen to know where I could find a new mainspring?
