It's funny how times change. Used to be everyone just about knew about hitting that rod many many people still cracked themselves in the mask on cockers with no beavertail on rec days though...always good for a laugh.

Caught the end of the cocking rod, which I had the screw backed out of for minor adjustments I hadn't made. It caught in just the right place, and cracked it a little.
The bolt will not break a marb, just deforms them to break further down the barrel.

Or drill a small hole on the other side of the bolt, chrono with that... then when you get on the field, FLIP THE BOLT OVER TO MAX SPEED AND BLOW HOLES IN CONCRETE!!!

jk everyone

in all seriousness, if you find yourself hitting your face alot with the backblock, look at adjusting your ergonomics so that it doesn't happen. Maybe install something like a reverse rail (critical paintball), or an XSV ASA that pushes your tank back a bit more. I do this and it helps alot

^^^ put something like that on your gun, flipped backwards and it stretches out your gun quite a bit so you don't hit your nose

to use that extended asa rail thing you would have to get a longer macro line or steel bradded hose though right?

don't worry bro, with your tank and the standard duckbill ASA you should be o.k.

Besides, it's a pump, if you do it more than a few times (whack yourself) it will be your own fault.

I like that reverse drop Mike.

Yes, do something far more dangerous then wiping, to penalize a wiper.
That will definetly be good for the sport.

Maybe he will shoot frozen paintballs back to "up the ante"? Then you can unscrew his HPA valve just enough for the valve to pop off while he is playing?

Anyway, as a long time ref, I've also noticed people have mostly forgotten about the old school FPS cheats. ie "rubber bands", sliding foregrips, special "angles", etc. Plus all the ways of hiding those cheats, ie mag trigger techniques, no paint/air, dirty barrel, etc. Always amazing.

I don't think its because more players are honest, but more a simple reality that fields have become much, much smaller. In the old days, nearly all fields were larger then the guns maximum range. So if your gun could shoot farther then another player, you have a very real advantage in that you could hit him when he could not touch you. Today, everyone is in range of each other at these small fields.

The Cocker beavertail is a good example. People have forgotten why its even there. Like the reg cap on Automags.

Try a half/mid block? I personally prefer a longer setup on pumps and mechanical guns so it's not really a problem. Finding the right balance of ergonomics and playing style will help
