BBD: bags vs. plugs

Silly topic, yes, but I'm curious. Does a barrel bag or barrel plug offer any advantage over the other? Also, I've seen a few fields which banned barrel plugs, is this because there's fear of them shooting out?

barrel plugs have been know to be dangerous projectiles in their own right, the issue is the electro paintgasm, barrel bags when used properly will contain a stream of paint where as once the barrel plug has been shot out the end of the barrel there is nothing to stop the paint.

Making the barrel bag a much safer barrel blocking device.

I have a better question, why do they sell barrel bags that are camo, black or some other hard to see color???Is it so we can lose them easier and have to by more ??Barrel bags are better than plugs.Plugs go airborne when shot, bags get jiggy but have worked well that I have have seen.

Too many morons remove the o-rings from the plug, effectivly making the plug useless.

Don't some plugs have holes for the air to escape so they don't fly out, though?

I like the idea of the TPX style plug-with-strap approach the best. I've seen some of the cheap neoprene barrel-bags give out at the seam from one shot.

What about a barrel plug with elastic loop?

I also think by far the best barrel bag I have used is the RTR one...it's well designed and thought with the player in mind. It's double sided so if you have a ball break in one side of the bag, you can just flip it and use the other side.

you still have a chance at shooting it out. someone will cut it down ect. barrel bags are highly preferred because as said before they can contain a stream of paint where as a plug will hold 5 ball when being shot at 15 BPS. just blame the electros with sensitive triggers and full auto. (but those are someone of the funnest to shoot)
