best post in this thread so far. lol

he more than likely broke the golden rule, someone got pinched, and snitched on him to get a lesser charge.

no search warrant, you don't let them search. no matter if you have something to hide or not, bottom line.

Its over 80 pages http://www.rand.org/pubs/occasional_...RAND_OP315.pdf

Here is the short short version.
$50 tax per ounce might yield 1 billion.
Here is a nice little chart showing how much they spend
California state and local spending 2010 - Charts Tables History

That is .002%

Good luck with all that

The story I heard (dont know if it is true NJ grapevine) was that the fire inspector came by and saw it since they left the door unlocked. He then walked the two blocks to the police station and told the police. At that point I think he knew he was screwed so he said he would cooperate

the problem with taxing it is, people will just grow their own. it's so much easier even on a small/personal level, that the gov can kiss those tax numbers good by. they know it and thats why they won't make it legal, cause the public can very easy get around the tax. you don't have to buy it with a tax, just grow it yourself. just like tomatoes, or brewing your own beer. and if the gov thinks that by legalizing it and then charging more than what the street value was when it was illegal that an underground won't push it cheaper and without paying the gov the tax. Then they are just kidding themselves.
if they really want to stick it to the cartels that profit from it being illegal. then they would have to legalize it with no taxes, and really only regulate it in regards to minor and driving under the influence.

oh wait, then that means they are sticking it to themselves.

You forget that for every 1 person that likes to grow/brew stuff on their own, there are 1000 that find it simply easier to buy it at their local shop. The quality isn't the same but they value convenience higher. Why do it yourself when you can have someone else do it for you? Think of oil changes for your automobile. Its cheaper to do it yourself but most people don't want to take the time or effort of doing it themselves.

This store was within walking distance of my house. I went there once and it wasn't really merch I was interested in (the paintball stuff, that is ). I recently played at the guy's field with some friends (I had played there before when it was under different management) and paid more than I had anticipated, posted about it on PBN...he personally PM'd me saying he'd look into it. This was a few weeks ago, guess he's not going to be able to now...

Decent customer service, too bad he was making mistakes like this on the side.

This is one of things that will hinder this idea.

Agreed, but this also demonstrates the purpose and ability of those already growing to keep growing for the black market.
