did you charge the battery through the grip frame? If so, your capacitor could be cooked.

If not, what kind of battery are you using?

I've been told and have experienced that some batteries are junk out of the box.

Duracell industrial strength is what I have that works the best.

duracells shouldn't work. you need a 9.6v rechargable.

did you overcharge? you're only supposed to charge it for 8 hours max if you use a wall charger.

sounds like you cooked the capacitor. the charging through the grip frame is not supposed to be done. it fries the cap on the board.

Is the capacitor bulging at on the end shiney part?

the capacitor is the big black thing on the board. if you fried it you'll need a new one.

but that's less common, always try the most common solution first. charge new empty 9.6v batt, 8 hours, with gun off. even if that turned out not to be the problem, you just got yourself a spare 9.6v for when one of them die eventually.

the top of the capacitor would be slightly swollen.

did you charge it correctly? 8 hours gun off?
