Military grade smoke grenades, that's part of what makes the West Point games so great. Also the M240s with blanks and artillery simulators.

It's an M240B SAW, the cadets bring them on the field and fire blanks near the battles for sound effects. They fired about 10K rounds the whole weekend. Not sure there are any other games where you can be fighting with a real machine gun "firing" over your head.
They also wake everyone up at 6AM with artillery simulators and the SAWs.

The M249 is a SAW ( Squad Automatic Weapon / 5.56mm NATO ) ,,, the M240B ( 0r M240 "Bravo" ) is the much larger 7.62mm NATO version that took place of the M60 "HOG/PIG" but still the M240B by no means is called a SAW by ground pounders...

M249 SAW : Online Army Study Guide - M249 - Machine Gun | ArmyStudyGuide.com

M240B : Online Army Study Guide - M240B - Machine Gun | ArmyStudyGuide.com

I hope this helps

Ahh I see I got my nomenclature wrong, this is why i never joined the military, can't keep the acronyms right. Yeah so they are 240Bs, the big ones, firing over our heads during the big battles. Scares the crap right out of you.

Yeah, the cadets are particularly gifted at managing to creep up behind you mid fire-fight just to make you leap out of your skin when they light those M240B's up righ next to you lol...

That might be too much "stimulation" for me to take. Sounds like a good time though.

Hey Crimson, how many times have you taken a hit to the camera? They seem like they would sit high but quite a few pics I've seen show that they don't actually stick up over the forehead at all.

I'm still leaning to a Contour (for the bluetooth compatibility with my android) but your screen caps make the decision pretty tough.

Prolly a dozen or so shots have hit the camera, that thing is a beast. It sits right above my mask line. I'll have to take a pic later today if I think of it.
