I had one that fit on my bike bars, but would never work on a barrel as i have thick bars on my bike haha

barrel cam is nowhere near perfect. the perceived weight due to torque will tire you out quicker than you think, and the further out you mounted the camera the worse that gets. i save strength where i can; i play all day.

you also have to mind where on the bunker you rest your barrel, which is the equivalent hassle of that helmet camera sighting habit.

worse, where a helmet camera may just shake a bit randomly, the barrel cam is guaranteed to shake due to recoil, and it shakes at the worst time possible: when you're shooting someone and something cool is probably happening.

i have abandoned the barrel cam for years. never looked back. i'll rest my face lower on the gun any day if it means not having to deal with all the barrel camera problems. these days i'd only use it to film backwards at myself like that other vid.

I went with the contour haven't played with it yet but did some testing and it seemed to work ok with running and moving around.

Idk what you use for a mount or a gun, but in the video I posted you can see that there is zero shake from the gun firing. The gun acts as a stabilizer. You can go through my youtube channel for OSG (link is below) with the 10 something videos I put up for the field it doesn't do that at all.

I actually like the headcam for scenarios because during them it's not all about shooting people. The barrel cam doesn't capture the game like a headcam does. But for everything else...I'm all about the barrel cam.

I play all day unfortunately the camera doesn't make it all day and won't make it without 32+ gigs of memory and 2-3 battery packs. The point I was making is that players need to make a conscious effort when they are shooting video to remember where the camera is pointing.

I watched your camp pendleton vid. How'd you get it zoom in like that?

I think some people here have already talked about it, but I do feel the best answer is buy a camera and multiple ways to mount it. I have found many ways to mount it on the marker then mixing up the footage through out the day, then taking it all back and mixing it together to give you a good action filled video.

post recording edit on a computer.

another reason camera shake is a problem: any shake gets magnified as well.

it's also another reason i record in 1080p now in case something needs zooming in.
