Permanent anti-fog coating developed

SciCron Technologies claims to have developed a permanent anti-fog coating. Their compound is composed of bonded layers of polyvinyl alcohol over multiple strata of silicon. Company claims are that this coating endures wiping and washing unlike anything else currently available.

I wonder how long until this trickles down to paintball goggles. Sounds like just the thing.

Tell them that you represent a large market demographic willing to throw their money at something like this provided it can be tested lol.

Sounds interesting but a few points that concern me listed on their site:
Quote:
"the surface must be clean or the coating will not function properly"
"Do not rub dry with coarse paper towels or soiled towels."

I think the first one is referring to when you actually coat the lens, you wouldn't want dust and that under it. And the second one is common with any sort of thin coating, use something soft to wipe it or the abrasion from the material, or dirt and grit on a soiled towel will eventually sand it off.
