Angel Eyes Pre-Order FAIL

Just got this email:

Quote:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for your purchase of the Angel Eyes Paintball Mask from ANSgear.com. We have recently received notification from Angel that the masks have been delayed for a second time and will not ship until the Summer of 2011. We are working hard to make this situation right for all of our loyal customers and have come up with the following options:

1. You can continue to wait for your Angel Eyes Paintball Mask which will ship in the Summer of 2011.

2. We can issue a full credit for the purchase price of the mask back to your debit/credit card or PayPal account (Please call us direct for this option as we do not hold credit card information).

3. We can issue a full store credit plus an extra $10 gift card to your ANSgear account.

4. Choose the mask of your choice from our entire selection and receive 15% off the mask while the remainder of funds will be issued as a store credit to your ANSgear account.

NOTE: If you do not currently have an Angel Eyes Pre-Order, please disregard this message.

We truly understand the inconveniences that delays like this cause and are working with manufacturers to keep similar situations from arising in the future.

Regards,
ANSgear Management

Hope no one was planning on having a Halo Scenario next week.

That's the same deal they offered last time as far as opting out. Guess I'll just keep waiting...

Don't know if it's anything more than rumour and hearsay, but according to one of the owners of my local pro-shop the mask actually failed the Canadian standards tests, and now they've completely cancelled the Canadian release.

Wow.

By the way, how do they test masks in Canada? Throw beavers at them?

Syrup-filled paintballs. The higher viscosity creates an impulse of impact that accounts for a factor of safety of 1.5

Well, I don't see how Angel could create a bad product. Everything they make works flawlessly!
