Exploding grenades and flash bangs

I came across these while surfing the web.

I wonder how well that works... In any event though explosives make me wary. Doesn't take much bad luck to have one explode a foot away from your mask.

I know back in the day they had exploding grenades but they didnt have paintballs in them they had just the liquid paint.

I can see something very bad happening if another player tries to pick up an active grenade and throw it back...

I remember those old ones as being fairly unsafe.

Even a couple years ago someone got hurt from a "commercial" smokebomb made for paintball. I've had friends burn there hands from "no heat" smokebombs.

At least with the rubber-band style grenades, there is nothing exploding, or burning. They are not much more then an elaborate water balloon.

I seem to recall roman candle fights and a hospital trip. I can see these ending up the same way very, very quickly.

I highly doubt most reputable event producers and fields will allow those items. I really don't see how they can be safe. I can see a lot of potential injuries with them.

After seeing these I was thinking it would be cool to make a Distraction Grenade. Airhorn and Ductape anyone? :ROTFL:

Probably not the grenades but the flash bangs I could see being using in small private scenarios.

i seem to recall reading a review by greyops or modern intel about a baking soda+vinegar grenade. Probably a lot safer and but still get a slight bang. Has anyone tried dry ice bombs? I heard from a friend while back that they're loud but not very destructive.
