It's thin stuff....It's more like a rubber than a plastic. If it breaks paint I'll probably use something else. I just found that strip in my toolbox from another project.

If it does not break paint but does not put any back spin on the ball it may be too slick. Try dipping the ramp into some tool dip. The sell it at Home Depot. That would work. Feyd....

I give you a plus for using your own ingenuity instead of going out and paying $$ for something. What the haters don't get is that its the process of creation that is the fun part, not having the coolest most expensive piece of hardware on the field.

That said I look forward to hearing how it works.....

And when folks say that the stock KP barrel sucks you can prove them wrong.

I agree. Seems clever enough.

There were all sorts of homemade backspin systems in the early 90s, back during the original trend.

A common trick was to buy some PVC pipe with an ID of .75". Then heat it up, and give it a bend. Ended up looking like those firearms that could shoot around corners.

Plus the tape trick, or barrels with the lower half cut off, or clever porting, etc. None of those really worked... but most of the fun comes from tinkering anyway.

I'm going to try out this current rig and see how well it works...if it doesn't I'll probably make something very similar to the REAL Apex tip.
