I've got my hunches as to what the valve design is... and if any of them are right, that slot is velocity adjustment or to allow for gas blowoff (for which it would be REALLY big). The placement could allow it to work for either.

I'm excited for the gun, though. I might actually pick one up a few years from now, simply because the thought of a minuscule stock class gun that I can pump rapidly without it jumping all over the place are awesome. My two gripes with the Phantom - breech design and pump stroke- seem to have been addressed.

I'm on the fence...should my next purchase be one of these, a used CCM, or an electro marker for tournaments (since I currently have none again, though it is rare that I play tournies).
