The problem with the new sterling is I don't know where to get one
Which is a shame. I got to fondle and shoot Justin's Sterling at PP1 and was very impressed. I resisted a new gun for several years (they were still availabel new at the time as I recall) and now Sterlings can only be had used.

I was looking recently for a direct feed pump, having decided I prefer to use my Phantom stock class, and considered a Sterling. However the lack of available guns and parts to service the guns turned me off to the idea and I went with an SS-25 instead. Arrow Prescision could sell a boatload of these guns if they'd just figure out how to make them available....(though, unless the SS-25 experience turns out to be as bad as my Illusion experience, I suspect I won't be needing or buying a Sterling in the future)

About my parents naming me, I have a given nickname of DJ, however, I found there are 8 trillion DJ's out there, so I use Murph online and at paintball fields, makes seeing if they're asking for me much easier.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.

*There is also no "l" in rathbaster.

Went to the NPPL event yesterday and am going again today. I still am suffering from sensory overload, but I did have a blast. I got to meet and talk with Bea Youngs, she was very sweet and far more beautiful in real life than in the magazines WOW. One thing that kind of suprised meet was while watching a game between STockholm Joy and LA Sedition a paintball came through the net (no idea where either didnt see any holes) and nailed me on the shin. Since I was wearing shorts and not playing I yelped and did a little dance but then wore the ooze running down my leg with pride LOL. Was a great time all in all and while I have no desire to play speedball it was a blast to watch.

As for the sterlings @ Emr.They were the ONLY 2 in the world at that time.Heck, we were sponsored and I didn't even get to shoot them.Wonder why they haven't came out and said when they were coming out?! Well, here's MY theroy.

(1) to see if there would be enough interest to justify retooling and cost.

(2) Not look like laughco and keep saying next year,ok maybe next year. Speaking of which has anyone received their's yet?

(3) From experance , the brit's don't get much in a hurry. I heard they have changed a few things from the ones from castle.Maybe...Maybe not.

(4) I'm wondering if they wanted to see if this was a fade or not in the industry<stockclass and pump>.

I was at NPPL to...ran into Chaos, and met shadowace. I also saw the sterling as I was walking in. I wish I had asked the guy for a photo of it (had my camera with me, and all!
It was beautiful! Solid, graceful, nice pump stroke and trigger pull. It just looked and felt great!

But spyder barrels??? Who invests in barrel kits with spyder thread? They really need to make those with Autococker threads. I really think that is a BIG mistake. Hope they change it before final marketing.

Nope,They keep that. And the soverign3's have the same thread. You can get a freak back cheap on ebay and do like we did. Spyder thread is as common or more the cockers.

Spyder threaded barrels are a step up from a proprietary thread which no one makes....however I agree with Lone Goose. While I was sad I could not acquire a Sterling when I went looking, I am happy I don't have to invest in a whole other set of barrels beyond the two threads I have (Phantom and Cocker).

You may have something there.
