I must say that I really enjoy working at my field. I'm an outdoorsy kinda guy, so I'm in my element. THe only thing I dont like is the thick headed people ya get every so often. Guys whiping there masks off RIGHT IN THE MIDLE OF A GAME!!!! ect. That is when you have to lose it with them, like go all friging ape crap on them. Chances are there learn there leason the first time, but thay may not. Ya just gota get in there heads that if thay dont smarten up, thay'll be going home early.

I had acouple guys this past weekend that took there masks off in the dead zone (which is not a covered area and is right in line with the field) DURING A GAME!!! I started screaming my head off at them to get them back on, which thay did. After that game, I gave them all a second safety briefing saying that if thay didn't grab a brain that we would send them home. After that, thay were much better. But I still had to keep my eyes on them.

But I really do enjoy it all. Just wish I could do it all week.

Have fun.

Ti

Take a bright coloured shemagh, drape it over one arm so it hangs down. Super lightweight invincibility shield that can cover 3/4 of your body.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Had a lot of fun on my first day last week. I hate when I'm playing and I know I got some one, only to see them snap down for about 20 seconds and come up clean. So when some one called a paint check i made sure to get there fast. Thinking that i would make more players happy and help business. I would call wipers on the lack of integrity when I saw them. Turns out its bad for business because every one does it and even if you catch them wiping or with a straight up shot to the face the will still argue and get pissed. " Oh thats splatter, thats from last game, i'm not wiping my mask was fogged up." WTF never realized till I stood on the side lines how many douches there are. Oh that and the 15 Albanians that could barely speak english. No matter how times i told them don't pick up balls off the ground they kept doing it then calling for a jam every ten seconds. No Sh** its jammed there is hay all through your rental along with what looks like 250 cal balls covered in mud in the hopper. " No no I no pick up da bullz." But over all a great day. Get to do it again on saturday.

Talk to the other refs...the only way to get rid of cheating is consistency. Boot them for one game. Be up front about the consequences and tell the players what will happen in a pre-game speech.
