There was a paintball field at one time near Valley Forge PA in a warehouse... and my friends that played there would often decide to go play for free at the nearby abandoned Nike Missile base.

EDIT: Found the base they played at... PH-82

And I've done projects at one time or another related to PH-91 and PH-99:

It's amazing how many of the sites are around... Site PH-99 is now a park where they have soccer fields... and the description is spot on about being able to see the magazine and other former structures in the ariel/sat. photos. When I first got out of college I worked for a company that was doing to engineering for Warrington, PA and the Town had purchased the base and was converting it to the park.

PH-91 had a leak in one of it's magazines and control area of some PCB's and fuel that got into the water table... North Penn Water Authority had to put all the local residents on municipal water. One summer my friend and I wheeled probably 10 miles (at least) of local roads where North Penn Water Authority was going to install water mains and then put it all in AutoCad.. that was almost an entire summers worth of work doing the survey, Cad, bid specs and the start of the construction inspection work.

I knew that the site close to me used to be an off limits military area back in the seventies, but until you posted the link I never knew what it was.

There used to be a great paintball field in Liberty, also housed a Boy Scout summer camp. Fun fields, great people.

I think I heard they were trying to turn Grossinger's into a casino. Haven't been able to get the law passed to allow it, but I think it's not far off.
