My poor IPOD touch

I bought this while in Japan. Figured I owed myself something nice for once. I knew the Wife would eventually take it over as always. No biggy she uses it for walking and that's fine with me. I have a ZUNE I don't even use.

So the Wife goes for a walk today and decides after 3 miles it's getting a little to warm for the sweat shirt. She takes it off and the IPOD slips out of her hand and onto the road.

She came home crying. She was very upset. I told her not to worry about it,because accidents do happen and I bought insurance for this type of:

Unexpected accidental handleing.

Man do I know my wife. Plus that's what the insurance is called. Good old PX/NEX/BX insurance. She's on her way now to return it.

Later,
Blackrain

Holy crap Steve! That looks more like a end zone spike than a slip out of the hand.

Remind me not to make HH6 mad if I get the honor of meeting her.

Update:

Wife just called. We have to send it in for repairs. No questions asked. They will replace the glass face and whatever else is damaged. If it's damaged internal,It will just be replaced with a new one. Insurance is great.

I'll get an email from the NEX with a shipping lable.

When my Wife told them what happened, they just said:

"That's why you have this insurance "

So big lesson,if you have an insurance option be it military or civilian, purchase it

Have to love those AFFEES warrenties

She was very upset. I had never seen her cry over something as silly as this. Now she'll be afraid to use it.

I told her not to worry and go about her life. It's just a minor detail that I took PRE Precautions ahead of time

I could have done this myself.

I need to find a hard case for it. Guess the rubber just isn't tough enough.

Do they make an otter box that fits it?

Insurance is mandatory for those things. The glass is even more brittle on the newer post Iphone 4s.

Thanks for the info and link about the OTTER box. I just ordered her a nice pink one. I'll have Mom make her a nice 1000D cordura arm pouch. She's going to be happy. I'll write up a review when this arrives.

Good stuff. Those otterbox things are tough. They won't protect against a real end zone spike though lol.

They're pretty much the best thing out there for protection though.
