Nearly all my guns are run from a vertical ASA. This is generally the best position to run a siphon. A issue that you sometimes find with pumps is that if you do not shoot much, the liquid gradually works its way back to the tank, so your first shot might be low.

According to Montneel, thats the reason that they placed the cocking-slot on the right side, while everyone else used the left-side- To keep the smoke/ice out of your face.

I dunno. I do like that I can snug right into a bunker, or tree and not worry about it hitting something.

Vert is actually the best way to run a siphon, it will insure your always sucking liquid.
