Is this paintball shot calculator accurate?

How Many Shots Can I get with Compressed Air Paintball Tank?

I found a website that actually tells you how many shots you get depending how much gas your marker consumes.

I've read and kept this piece of info in my mind:

3000 psi vessel = ~10 shots per cubic inch
4500 psi vessel = ~15 shots per cubic inch

Is this shot calculator accurate in each field? Its a shame we can input how much psi the marker uses...

Most markers are more efficient than those baselines, but they're a decent enough starting point. What type of guns were you interested in calculating the efficiency of?

My bone stock Phantom. Someone brought it to my attention about how many shots can I get out of a 13ci/3000 hpa tank. I usually shoot about 5 tubes per game and tap for air every 2 games since their is nothing to do on my break. I chrone my pump to 285 fps

Your Phantom is probably good for 150%+ of those estimates. And since I see you have a couple 'cockers in your sig for sale, I'll mention that a well-tuned 'cocker will do that much as well.

Indeed. I'm just waiting on my springs to tune my sniper to shoot at a lower psi.

that's pretty close

there are things you can do, to get an ultra effiencient poppet to shoot 20 pods. Such as using large bore paint, boring your paint, using thin lubes, pressure and dwell optimization, shooting at 285 instead of 300, etc

Then there are things you can do, to get a spool to shoot less than 6 pods, which is raising the dwell, shooting at max fps (20+ to chill the tank), crazy overbore with tiny paint, shooting at 300 to 305 fps, etc

Most markers fall into an "envelope", but the best way to find out for sure, is to simply take a $50 case of paint, and shoot your gun until it runs out of air at the conditions you normally play at.

One $50 case of paint, can solve a TON of mystery in regards to how efficient your marker is. It may sound silly, but you'd spend more than $50 on a tank of gas, if you wanted to know what your true miles per gallon is.

Does it really matter that much to you? If you're using HPA just take a peak at the reg after every game. If you really need to know, Mike's idea is probably the way to go.

best efficiency mod I can recommend is to shoot less.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
