There is a photography website I go to. It has various sections for different types of photography. One section is called "Glamour and nudes". In order to post in that section (not even post a picture, just post in general) you have to have at least 500 posts and I think 6 months on the board. Its a good rule. However, if someone wants early access they need to just ask and show their work. I think something similar could be worked out here. Minimum posts or board time and the ability to get early privleges.

link?

I have had many transactions here on MCB and only one, was somewhat dissapointing.

I think if you are going to lowball it should be in a PM. Posting a lowball is bad form.

I don't even bother to post FS stuff on PBN or any other site, (other than PHOG), it may mean slower sales, but at least I know I'm dealing with quality people.

One thing that kinda irritates me, in F/S threads, is the "I don't ship first" statements. Why would anyone ask you to ship before receiving payment anyway? and why would you do it?

I do it for people I see around a lot and personal friends, but that's just me.

I believe this should be addressed depending on how much of a problem it may or may not be causing. On the A5OG the B/S/T requirements were enacted because we had ALOT of folks doing a hit and run post simply to sell something and then never posting again. I personally believe that if one feels they are good enough to make a B/S/T post, then they should be good enough to post elsewhere on the forum.

Hence the requirements of 50 posts, 50 rep points, and 30 days from signup date before they can post. Our B/S/T section is also visible which allows any guest and/or member to view whats being sold so as to still give adequate coverage, and then use the PM system to conduct any business if they can't post there.

Regardless, what works for one place may not necessarily work for another.

FS: Holycow's RTP Viper pump

Then how about a BST "wading pool" forum for rookies?
